Batman Goes Hollywood

BATMAN: MASK OF THE PHANTASM (1993)

The first time Batman went on the big screen in a full-length movie was 1993, when in 8 busy moths, DC made a movie called Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm based on the successful Emmy-winning TV shows Batman: The Animated Series. (I will write more once I get this movie on DVD and watch it with understanding, so stay tune, I promise I will)

BATMAN & MR. FREEZE: SUBZERO (1998)

The crew continued working on Batman: The Animated Series in 3 new volumes and a total reboot naming them New Adventures Of Batman, as they did another movie called Batman & Mr. Freeze: SubZer! It's one of the greatest and most emotional movies about Mr. Freeze wishing to get his wife back to life, but he needs Batgirl (not knowing that it's her) to transfer her blood and organs. Batman and Robin interfere as always, so following the clues they find Freeze and save the day. At the end of this cool action-packed animated movie, Mr. Freeze's wife is saved and he runs away. He continues with his crimes in the series wishing for whole Gotham City to feel the cold he feels, even that doesn't quite fits to the animated movie, because his wife is dead there.
The style of drawing is the same as in the Animated Series, but we can see 3D efects, like vehicles and other stuff. I really like this movie, and it's worth buying and watching!

BATMAN BEYOND: RETURN OF THE JOKER (2001)

Following the success of the new TV series of Batman, this time, a young boy Terry McGinis taking over the job of Bruce Wayne as Batman Beyond , or known also as Batman of the Future. The story is just like the title says, the epic villain and arch foe of Bruce AKA Batman, becomes another villain of Terry AKA Batman Of The Future (more review when I re-watch it, stay tuned)

BATMAN: MYSTERY OF THE BATWOMAN (2003)

Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman is a 2003 movie based on the (fourth volume of Batman: The Animated Series, renamed in) New Adventures of Batman. The main villains are the Penguin and Rupert Throne, and Batman must stop them, but also, he is curios about the new hero that has arrived in Gotham City, Batwoman (don't confuse it with Batgirl, two different characters). One of the best animated movies of all time! (I will write more)

THE BATMAN VS. DRACULA (2005)

One of the best movies you will ever watch about Batman. The Batman Vs. Dracula is an animated movie based on the animated hit-TV series The Batman. In this movie we get the newest technology in animation, just as we get it in the TV series. The story is about the legendary Count Dracula (a vampire) being brought to Gotham City, and the Penguin awakes him and becomes his hypnotized servant. Dracula, presenting himself as Alucard (the name Dracula, the other way around) to Bruce wants him, but Bruce figures out everything in a short time. We also see the epic Joker, but now, turned as a vampire, while Batman is using him to test his medicines (to turn a vampire back in human). Dracula has turned almost the half city into vampires and his two main goals are to take over Gotham City and get back his beloved (in the body of the date of Bruce). This movie is as dark as any other Batman animated movie or TV episode, holds a lot of action, adventure and mystery, and gives us to watch the legendary bat hero fighting against the even more legendary vampire.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: THE NEW FRONTIER (2008)

Batman has a big collection of his movies, but also, he stars into a lot of animated TV series and movies. His first appearance in animated show was back in 1973, when the first episodes were premiered of Super Friends, he had his blue mask (hood, gloves and boots) and looked little different from the modern Batman, but all heroes (back then) did. The show was a big success with a total of 108 episodes and different spin-offs. And then, in 2008, DC agreed to make a movie that will hold the style (not the total same) of Super Friends (and the old comic books style). The changes were recognized most at Aqua Man, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern. Batman, in that movie, has the colors of the modern Batman, but he is reminds (in style of being drawn) to the old (known as blue) Batman. His voice is very rough and once again he is dark (just like in all movies that he's joined by other heroes) and doesn't trust anyone. The story (in short) is about the beginnings of the Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and how he becomes that, while the last martian, John, is brought on earth and Wonder Woman is (acting like a fool) leading other women to fight by her side. While those (mostly) three stories are being showed, The Center is coming on earth and dares to destroy the Earth, but all super-heroes stand by the side of the US army and fight against it. The movie isn't that bad, even I prefer the other ones better, the color and technique is (just like they imagined it) great and gets back all fans of DC to the old days when Super Friends were running on TV!

BATMAN: GOTHAM KNIGHT (2008)

Batman: Gotham Knight is one of the latest movies about (only) Batman, but it's not based on any TV series, having its own kind of style. The animated movie is made from 6 (short) stories (or movies) with different tales and stories about Batman and once again we hear our favorite actor (that reprises the voice of Batman) Kevin Conroy! (After I watch the movie you'll get more info)

SUPERMAN/BATMAN: PUBLIC ENEMIES (2009)

Superman/Batman is a new tittle to the screen based on DC heroes. It's a new (and different from Justice League) fictional world that is surrounding the great hero Superman and the greatest detective Batman. It's also one of those animated movies by DC that it's not based on any animated series and has its own drawing style, color etc.  I like the drawing style a lot, it's little different, but very good. Colors will leave you speechless, and the story is great. It's about how Lex Luthor (the greatest enemy of Superman) is chosen for president of the United States and now he has to handle a Krypton meteor heading to the Planet Earth, while also treating the Superman and telling the world, that the meteor infects him and made him crazy, so Superman becomes wanted for 1 billion dollars! Now Superman and Batman will have to handle all old enemies (that want Superman for the reward), the super-heroes that joined Lex and America (to serve them) and find a way to stop the meteor. While running the movie, everything goes around, Lex want the meteor to destroy the planet, so he can re-build it him self, while Batman and Superman are none-stop in action against enemies and heroes like Power-Girl, Hawkman and Captain Atom. This is one of the greatest DC animated movies I've ever watched, and you'll sure love it yourself!

JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS (2010)

Once again, one of the best animated movies that you will ever see Batman (or any DC hero) in. While the movie is running, the watcher get more exited, more angry (at the enemies) and more afraid of what's gonna happen! We see a new style, that is not based on any other previous animated series or a movie, but it's unique and beautiful. The colors (maybe) could have been little better and the story couldn't be more perfect! The movie holds how our favorite DC heroes go on the world where they became evil, and now have to fight them! We all know that movies that hold going though time and space (dimensions) are very exiting, such as this one is. Superman's opposite, or we should say, evil side, is pretty the same, he just looks little older, but at Batman, we see a lot of changes. Owlman (counterpart of Batman) looks like from the future, he wears metallic suit and mask, and has better gadgets! Crime Syndicate (opposite of Justice League) want to destroy the world, so it can be re-made again, but our heroes have to stop that, or all worlds (all dimensions of Earth will) be destroyed! We see another exiting thing, John (the martian) falls in love with the daughter of the president of USA, isn't that cute, so you better get this great movie and watch it with lots and lots of excitement!

BATMAN: UNDER THE RED HOOD

One of the best selling animated movies and a none TV animated series based movie by DC  is Batman: Under the Red Hood. (Write more after I watch it)

SUPERMAN/BATMAN: APOCALYPSE (2010)

Following the success of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies of 2009, DC and WB chose to continue it in an all-new action adventure of Superman and Batman, but now we can see Wonder Woman, and also, Supergirl. The drawing style is way different from the first movie, but once again, it's great! This time our favorite heroes are drawn in a more real and detailed way, but also, the colors are darker than in any animated movie of DC. The story is about how another Kryptonian  is sent to Earth, and it's Kara, Superman's cousin. She can't control her powers, so the Amazons take her, to train her for over a month, when she is captured by the Apocalypse, with their wish of training her on their (evil) side. It is a great movie, but (according to me) it's not even close to what Public Enemies or Crisis on Two Earths hold. We can't see Alfred or Bruce without a mask, but this time, we see Diana, the princess of Amazon, known as Wonder Woman. The relation ship between the three heroes is kind of cold and unfriendly, they seem like they don't want to, but have to be together (in some scenes, and in some scenes not). However, it's a good movie, just like all (from DC) are.
